Not sure I'm familiar with Weston, but it is the place where the famous, iconic windblown and leaning Montery Pine is--the actual one that people think of when they think of Monterey Pines. I believe anyone can take a photo of it for fun, but to publish it or use it for profit you need permission (and have to pay a fee, I believe).
This place is IMHO as scenic as Yosemite, but much smaller, flatter and wetter since it's next to the Pacific Ocean. It's a jubilant celebration of flora and fauna that has to be seen and experienced to be believed! Lots of otters, tide pools, birds and incredibly beautiful trees, other plants and rock formations. One of my favorite spots that's not too far from home.

Isn't that where Edward Weston took some of his most famous photographs? It does seem to a beautiful place.
