We want your input on whether you have customized your site Notification options in your own Member Settings ....and why you have or have not.
--> Note that these settings can be found in the Notifications TAB of your Account Settings. The default setting is to have an email notification sent to you upon each of the various actions listed there.

YES, I purposely looked through my Notification settings at some point in the past, and I set each one to the way I like. (meaning you've already set whether to receive certain notifications or to not receive notifications) I know where and how to change my notification settings and have set them how I like already.

I am not interested in going through my account settings... or I simply don't want to bother or don't have the time.

I would look at my settings, but I cannot figure out where to find my account settings or notification settings. I wish it was easier to find these settings.

I see my Notification TAB settings, but it only has an "Attending Event" option available to adjust. Are there more settings?

I never knew I even HAD any account or site notification settings to look at or customize! I'm glad to discover this and will go customize them now. :)

I've never had any reason to go look through my notification settings after joining FOTMD, because the site notifications work just great for me as they currently are.

Yup, even the old Ning site before the present site gave this option. Just the name of the feature caught my attention. FotMD isn't Facebook (thank heavens!!!), but it pays to remind us to check our settings.
I appreciate folks giving their input in this poll- it helps me a great deal in making site adjustments.

Lois, I have the ability to send out an email to ALL fotmd members at once. This site feature is available to the site owner only, and is labeled as a 'Newsletter' feature. In reality it can be used as a newsletter or as a way for me to send a message or notice to all members for whatever reason... say for example I have to close FOTMD for a few days in order to make major site repairs/changes or something.
I suspect there are many members who feel they already get plenty of notifications from the site, so I've (so far) chosen not to create a 'newsletter' on top of that- I don't want people to get annoyed by receiving too many emails from FOTMD unless it's something really important they need to know.
Thus, I've never sent out any site-wide notices or 'newsletters' so far.

I've a question. I just signed the last listed choice about being happy with my notifications, but thanks to this question I did check the settings. I'm still happy with my settings, but noticed it mentioned a Newsletter. What is that? I don't recall anything like that.
