Hi Walkin Cane, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.
Ben
Welcome to FOTMD, Searchin For A Walkin Cane. You will find information here on how to play the dulcimer. As to finding a dulcimer you've come to a good place to start. I haven't seen an actual Mawhee come up for sale in a very long time. There are some folks around who have made reproductions great, great grandfather's instrument. Best wishes on your search. Let us know if we can help you or if you have any questions.

Welcome Searchin for a walking cane to Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. You have a very interesting history about John Mawhee. There are some on this forum who are knowledgeable about him. It would be wonderful for you to find a dulcimer carved by Mawhee. Glad you joined. Let us know if we can help you. Check your PM.
