Position markers on chromatic dulcimer

I have noticed there are many different opinions where to place position markers on the chromatic dulcimer. I am at a critical point of placing them on the new dulcimer in the process of being made. I hope you all will be able to advise me. At this point, I am thinking 1 1/2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, 14.
