Thank You, Everyone, for the warm welcome. I am looking forward to getting acquainted with this great website....(I need about as much help on the computer as I do with the dulcimer!) As a "Newbie", I am already learning a lot just from reading the various comments and responses to other's questions. The videos are a great help. Thanks, again, to all of you....and it won't be long before I will be posting some of my own questions.Smile.gif

Hi Suzanne, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.

Welcome, Susanne, to this little corner of dulcimer heaven. You're right, there is so much to learn about so simple an instrument. May I suggest Jerry Rockwell's book, "Music Theory & Chord Construction for the Mt Dulcimer." (At least I think that's the title, www.jcrmusic.com ) Hope you enjoy it here.
