Love this dulcimer’s sound. Is it okay for a first one? I also love the way it looks... I really like the deeper body sound of all of his dulcimers. I’ve been flip flopping around for a few days between this Gibson Barb Allen and the other one made of Pecan. Both beautiful both sound really nice to me. I’ve been trolling reviews and YouTube and...ad nauseum for days researching any/all MD’s.... makes a gal dizzy. And thanks to all for the welcome...

Hi Tracy, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.
Welcome, Tracy, to this little corner of dulcimer heaven. I worked for years in Ft Smith and studied classical guitar and music theory there. Hope you enjoy it here.
I love the sound of the Gibson dulcimers, I'm excited for you to have found one.
Welcome to FOTMD, Tracy. It's good to have you aboard.
