I’m an empty nester who retired from a collegiate library job where I did the interlibrary loans for the college. In my previous life, I was an Army television broadcaster in Germany and then an officer in the Navy for many years. My grandmother taught me how to knit and sew when I was a young girl and play the piano. Played French horn in school. Now, in retirement, I'm working on learning the recorder, ukulele, and now dulcimer. My baby brother has been teaching himself how to play guitar and since we are quite competitive, I just couldn't let him show me up; hence my search for a stringed instrument that would be a good fit for my musical personality.
Welcome to FOTMD TXDidi. It's good to have you aboard.

Hi Didi, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and meet some good people.
