That is figured myrtle. It's often used on flamenco guitars. Aaron likes it with a Sitka Spruce soundboard, but it also works well with Western Red Cedar or Port Orford Cedar. The sound is closest to walnut.
Yeah, I've been listening to Aaron play these gems and have put one on the top of my wish list. Unfortunately, I am about to get a new car, new HVAC unit, and new laptop. But one day soon . . .
