Welcome, looks like a Warren May dulcimer - Always a wonderful tone. I'm just guessing but Warren May always has finished sound holes
Hey Charlie, welcome aboard. Glad ya found us.
Thanks Jim, I've been looking through the forum threads and learning a lot. Nice site for sure !

Hey Charlie, welcome aboard. Glad ya found us.
Thanks Ben, pleasure's mine. I'm wet behind the ears when it comes to Dulcimer playing but I've always enjoyed hearing them played.
I was fortunate enough to hear Jean Ritchie perform many times at the old Ky Music Weekend.
I play guitar and a bit of banjo so I shouldn't take long to play some simple tunes on the Dulcimer.
Thanks again and have a great weekend !

Hi Charlie, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.

Welcome Charlie in Ky to Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. Glad you joined. How exciting to be seeking your first dulcimer. There are some great discussions on this site about what to look for and things to be aware of. You may want to create a discussion seeking input and I am sure you will get some valuable information.
Best wishes on your dulcimer journey.
