Thank-you Colleen- Appalachian Red Oak for the fretboard, also for the outside pieces of the scroll. The front and back are Eastern White Pine, the tail is Appalachian Hickory, the sides are salvaged Oak, not sure of the species, and the bridge, string guide and middle of the scroll are Peruvian Olive- really hard stuff!

Thank-you Patty! I am still learning- got the tuning down pact with an online tuner, and my melody string is kind of temperamental- sometimes it wants to vibrate
