Love My English Setters! And my dulcimers! We retired last year on our 5 acre micro-farm & love that too (hubby a former professor at MSU in Morehead, Ky). Have been playing dulcimer for 2 & 1/2 years at our local dulcimer club & in a mixed instrument acoustic jam group-I play a little guitar, too, but find the dulcimer always more fascinating. I like to go to a few dulcimer festivals every year; Ky music week, Homer Ledford festival, Don Pedi retreat in NC. New challenges: working w/another dulcimer player on duet performances-yikes! & organizing contra dances in Morehead.

Back in a discussion on tech. you talked about loving MobileSheets for your large music collection. Could you talk me through getting started with it? Currently only have free version to try it, but it sounds perfect for my WIN10 desktop & Android tablet I want to be the storage device.
Love to see more pix of your beautiful setters. Great companions.
Pretty dogs in your profile pic!
Hi DJ- A warm welcome to you and may you make lots of new music friends here! Don Pedi is a wonderful inspiration for playing.
Ohhh, thank you all for your kind words of welcome. I've been out of email range for a few days. We have a 5 acre micro-farm & it seems in spring the work is never done! I have been lurking on this site all winter & finally realized the benefits of joining. I just got a new Folkcraft 1 & 1/2 and 8 & 1/2 fret in Dec. for playing lots of chords, but went to Don Pedi's retreat in May & am re-appreciating the simplicity of my Warren May dulcimer-Loved Don's simple tunes-so much fun to play!
