I'm going to take a guess that the dulcimer is cherry, represented by the "C" is CSH. The overlay on the fret board appears to be walnut or wenge. It was made by Steve Ash in 2014. At that time this dulcimer would not have sold for more than $500.

Ryan, you found the right place to post an ad for your dulcimer.  Do you know what kind of wood the dulcimer is made of?  A buyer would likely want to know.  My guess is the fretboard is maple with a black walnut veneer, but I am not sure about the top (some kind of ceder perhaps?).  What about the back and sides?  And I think the CSH line was made with a 27" scale length (the length from nut to bridge).  Is that correct?

It's an elegant looking dulcimer for sure!

Ryan, there are a lot of platforms that you can use to sell this.  As a person who has purchased more than a few dulcimers on line (because I live in Alaska), and who has sold a few as well, here's what I would do:  First, I'd go on eBay and do a search of dulcimers, and you might narrow the search to Folkcraft dulcimers.  There won't be a lot of Folkcrafts for sale here, but it might help you to see what others are asking for their instruments.  Remember that what they are asking and what they are getting can be two different things.  You can post your dulcimer there too, but know that eBay charges a commission.  However, it is a nation-wide audience.  Posting the label and maybe a recording of you playing it with a date stamp can dispel any concerns about fraud.  Plus photos showing no damage, or documenting any damage there may be.  You might post it on your local Facebook marketplace and/or craigslist as well.  Saves any shipping if someone local buys it.  You might also search Facebook for any local dulcimer groups.  In your area there should be several, and you could let them know you have a nice dulcimer for sale.  Also, you can search Facebook dulcimer groups.  There will be several, and usually you have to ask to join the group, and each group will have specific criteria for posting instruments.  But it will be a targeted audience of dulcimer lovers.  Another Facebook group is Playable Strings Marketplace.  Again, usually, you'll need good pictures of the dulcimer showing no cracks or other serious problems, plus a video of it being played.  Best of luck!  You are in the heart of mountain dulcimer country so you should find a market for it.  Hope these ideas help.

Hello,

I am brand new to this forum and I am actually only looking to sell my S.J. Ash Folkcraft CSH Dulcimer (20141645). I was hoping to get around $800 for it, I am currently located in Western NC and would love for it to go to someone who will appreciate and enjoy it. That’s why I’m posting here. If I’m posting in the wrong place please forgive me but I wanted to at least get the word out.

Thank you
