Linda - I agree with Nina get a small contact mike ( Cheap & cheerful) & try It forst. I have tried a Cherub Violin Contact Mike because it has a slim clip designed to go thro the F hole on the fiddle.My dulcimers have F Holes fits just fine . The sound is a little muddy but liveable with, and it does work with the Roland Microcube. Fix the cable with that putty stuff you use to hang posters with. They call it Blutac here in England - but stick it to the side of the dulcie not the top, just in case it pulls at the grain of the wood when you remove it. Have Fun
