Hi Ray, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.
Thank you all for this warm welcome! I'm excited to browse all this fantastic content and learn more. I've read through Kevin Hume's "I just got a dulcimer" guide. I see that mine does not have the 6+ fret. If I'm understanding correctly, the standard diatonic fretboard is best for DAA tuning with a noter while the 6+ is more applicable for chords? Does anyone have a favorite book that they started learning with? Additionally, does anyone have more information on this wire piece that reminds me of the 5th string built-in banjo capo. Thanks for helping out a newbie!
Welcome Ray to Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. Glad you joined. This is a wonderful forum with lots of information. Many wonderful people. And a lot of good discussions. Best wishes on your dulcimer journey.
