Richard, it is so wonderful that you personally greet all our new FOTMD members.
Thank you so much for your friendliness and support!
Thank you, I have a lot to learn. My instrument is coming tomorrow! I'm sure I'll have lots of questions.
Thank you for your encouragement! I already have several dulcimers (I also have collector-itis). I recently acquired a Bill Davis fiddle type 5 string, and tuning it to B-F-B sounded like its sweet spot.
Thank you for your welcome note.
I am returning to the forum after some time away for surgeries, hospitalizations and otther age related problems. Unfirtunately my memory is not as good as it once was and I forgot most of the little I knew about this instrument. So I am starting again at 88 years old.
Thanks, it is wonderful to see so many positive pictures and posts! Thank you, everyone!
Does anyone have a harmony for "Hector the Hero"? If so, need it today or tomorrow. Thanks!
Thank you for the welcome! I am enjoying exploring this site and the instrument!
Deb
3/10/26 Hi Richard. Happy to be here. You sound like you have certainly benefitted from this interesting site. Lois
Richard, thank you for the information. While I did start looking into the Probate Court approach, I am hoping that the administrator of the estate will "do the right thing" in the spirit of Mr. Ewing. He was great to deal with and I hope that those who do manage his estate will bring forward his integrity so that I can be made whole. The tough feeling in all this is not just his passing, but my disappointment in receiving a custom dulcimer made by him. Now I am back to square one and so far, out a pretty substantial deposit. I actually gave him more than he required as I felt a strong sense of trust and confidence in him. Let's see how it all plays out.
All the best, R
Thank you for the welcome, Richard. I appreciate your hospitality!
Thanks I'm looking forward to learning more about this beautiful instrument.
