Hi Richard! Unfortunately I won't be able to see or play the dulcimer yet as it's miles away in Auckland in the N Island. I live in the S Island. We are planning to go there shortly before Christmas, so will have to wait until then. I note that it's considerably bigger and heavier than my current instrument, so will take some getting used to.

He was such a talented man! He played for me and showed me his workshop and built me a custom beautiful cherrywood dulcimer. I lived most of my life in Alaska and was exploring my roots in Tennessee when I met him and I was blessed to him be my first exposure to my country roots and music of the mountains. Thank you so much for the info about him!
