On-stage performances, workshops, informal jam sessions, and socializing. GWMF gives traditional Appalachian music lovers a place to play, listen, dance, and learn in the cold dark of winter.
Over thirty 20 minute stage performance slots will be open on Friday evening and Saturday.

The GWMF is now recruiting VOLUNTEER workshop leaders at the beginner and intermediate levels. We typically offer 3 to 5 one to one and a half hour sessions at two hour intervals starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday. (22 February 2025)
Last year's workshop list is still on http://www.gwmf.org/workshops.php
We very much need someone to teach Appalachian clogging or flatfoot dancing.
We have volunteers for intermediate guitar, fiddle and clawhammer banjo and beginner lap dulcimer, but two intermediate workshops can have different emphasis for the same instrument.
Initially all we need is you contact information and a 1-2 sentence description of your workshop.
You can contact us via the GWMF.org website, or send me a message via FOTMD and I will send you the email address for the workshop director.
Applications for performance slots are now open.
There is a registration form accessible via http://www.gwmf.org/onstage.php
Workshop proposals will be accepted starting in January, details to follow.
