PattyFest has FREE admission, FREE workshops, stage presentations, and jammin’ around the building. The focus is on Appalachian music, but it ranges through world folk music, classical, country and Blue Grass.
Both lap dulcimers and hammered dulcimers are always prominent
Only unamplified acoustic instruments are permitted.

From a program standpoint, everything went well.
The new location works well, although we need some bigger signs in a couple of places.
Attendance was poor, with few in the audience, and we could have accommodated more performing groups..
All the workshops were well taught and well received, although with very small classes.
We have added an "Instrument Exchange" area to our festivals where anyone can display and sell items related to traditional music. Among other things I had an opportunity to handle a dulcimer-banjo and a dobro-dulcimer. Several instruments fund new homes.
See http://www.pattyfest.org/instrument_exchange.php for details.
I didn't eat any, but the BBQ meat was said to be fantastic, and I heard the guys sold 100 pounds of it.
We are planning to move the date to the second Saturday in June next year. There seem to be too many first Saturday events around here.
How did PattyFest turn out?
