Anna Graybill sang melody.
Melody Botterbusch sang harmony.
Paul Gibbs played all instruments and also did all the sound engineering. Thank you all so much.
All glory to God and Jesus, since they gave me this song, almost whole, shortly after my Aunt Betty (Wecky) passed away in 2012. Paul said it needed a 2nd verse, so that took some thought, but God helped me with that also, since verse 2 comes from Romans 10:9 and Ephesians 3:18.
The song came to me after crossing the Susquehanna River while driving home from work in 2012, so Melody suggested a photo of the river for the album cover. I already took the photo this spring while my dad and I were hiking a few miles of the Appalachian trail. I did not know until we hiked that section that there’s a pedestrian bridge as part of the route 322 bridge.
Chorus
She’s home, home where she belongs,
In precious Jesus’ name, she prayed.
She’s home, home where she belongs.
In precious Jesus’ name she prayed, she prayed.
1.Mama said she’ll miss her for life,
Learned everything she knows from her.
Now she has no more strife,
‘Cause my Jesus died for her.
Chorus
She’s home, home where she belongs,
In precious Jesus’ name, she prayed.
She’s home, home where she belongs,
In precious Jesus’ name she prayed, she prayed.
2.Papa said it’s not how we behave,
But confess and you will be saved.
God’s love is deep and wide,
Believe and you will abide.
Chorus
She’s home, home where she belongs,
In precious Jesus’ name, she prayed.
She’s home, home where she belongs.
In precious Jesus’ name she prayed, she prayed.
In precious Jesus’ name she prayed.
In precious Jesus’ name… she prayed.
