Great to have you on board, Wendy, particularly in the UK/Europe group. What dulcimer have you got and what style of music do you fancy playing? We can help you in the UK group with support, music, accessories and just good plain advice...
AS someone also interested in the hammered variety, hope you've discovered the Nonsuch Dulcimer Club. For 10, an even tighter support group, tuition, regional/national events and 4 full colour magazines a year. Ask other on here what it can do for you!
Hi Wendy, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.
Hello and welcome to the site. This is a great place to share ideas and listen to music. I hope you enjoy.
I guess you have an Ozark then. Should play OK - see how you get on and then look around for something better if you love the dulcimer (as you will!).
Couple of tunes to get you going then. If you don't know them, look them up on Youtube and listen to them before trying to play them.
....And do have a look at my Resource pages . You may find some things helpful.
All the best.
Geoff
