Yes, I started making instruments with woodwinds. Two are copies of early clarinets (one in cherry and one in vermillion). The long one is a cornamuse, which is basically a crumhorn without the bend. It is in maple. There is a wooden flute in cocobolo. The bottom one is a fipple flute in cocobolo, which is similar to a penny whistle. I still play recorder in a small consort.
If you can call the sound of a crumhorn spectacular, yes.
That maple cornamuse is especially spectacular! Does it have the wonderful medieval-y nasal crumhorn sound?

Bob, did you actually make these? They look amazing- tell us what they are, and the woods you used!
