Original piece for dulcimer recorded on Kävlingeån as part of my ARNA artist residency at The Avian Kingdom in Sweden. More music at http://twangdarkly.com ; more about ARNA at http://arna.nu/
Technical: I'm using battery powered Zoom G1Xon into a little Tascam 4-track (also battery powered). The horn-sounding part is the a "slow gear" style auto-swell effect on the dulcimer; the G1Xon is a very fun piece of kit for something so affordable, especially if you take the time set up presets you like -- kind of impractical to adjust it much on the fly.
The small chromatic dulcimer is one I built for myself for trips such as this residency.

Really nice sound!
Are the sounds within your instrument or what are you hooked up to?
Liked the video and the music! Have fun in Sweden!

Thanks, Steven -- I'm back in the US now, but it was an inspirational residency for sure and I'm working to develop new material based on the experience.
