Posted a new Comment on POLL: Do you play alone, or with others?:
"I've tried for few years to find a Mt. Dulcimer group to play with and learn from.   I gave up a couple years ago and now play a Ukulele with several groups."

Thanks Byron. I found this site during the weekend and am enjoying it very much. I am spending more time with the dulcimer now then the trailer renovation. A lot to learn. I can strum all the melodies fairly well but when I add all the strings in the droning mode it just doesn't sound good. I am practicing strumming now and at novice rate. I played a guitar off and on (more off) for the last 40 yrs so strumming is okay. With guitar its either and/ or chords and strings right off the bat and self teaching is not cool. With the dulcimer and melody notes it was a pleasure right out of the chute. Now to get the two together and in harmony. I found a video on some basic L shaped chords etc that I am going to practice on; regardless if I can find TAB for anything yet. Just want to get my callouses back and the fingering posture is a bit diff then a guitar .Grin.gif Its in the high 40s here today so fiberglass doesnt set up and I can play inside for a bit.
