It's deceptive isn't it. You'd think a smaller instrument might be easier, but often it's more work. They sure are fun though. Thanks for the comments. The string termination, or variations on it, are on all my dulcimers. Makes string changing a breeze, but you can also partially remove them... that is loosen, slip from slots, and set aside while tweaking the fingerboard, etc.
