discovered your videos of the eedy beede dulcimers and I'm quite fascinated (especially since I'm a guitar player) I severed my middle finger on my guitar hand a month ago and have been searching for alternative fretted instruments to play. I'm so happy I stumbled upon the dulcimer. I bought an inexpensive one to learn on and I'm quite hooked (and I've only had it since last Thursday) I'm a singer/songwriter so I've been going through withdrawal and as soon as I got my hands on the dulcimer it felt like I was coming home! I even wrote a song on it (although I played it on it's side like a guitar) that's also why I'm enthralled with your little one. I play ukulele and a little mandolin (but for the next several months I can't play any of those instruments!)
I can see I'm going to be saving money for all the different dulcimers I'd like to own...I'm a "dolphin" fanatic so I know that one is on my radar.

David I thought your idea of an events page was a great idea. Unfortunately it took me all morning to figure out how to add a calendar to my website. I now have a calendar posted and I included the information for Stephen Foster. This will also help me when I start booking activities for promoting my book. Thanks for the encouragment.

l'orientale and les trois canards are two bourees from the central region of France where there is a great tradition of hurdy-gurdy and bagpipe playing ~ thus ideal for dulcimer.the chromatic dulcimer is very interesting to work with it allows for some very nice chords and harmony. The tombeau de turlough has some examples of these.

Thanks David for asking me to be your friend. I hope everything is going well. I do not know if you are aware but I am in the middle of writing a children's book. I have a website www.homerthedulcimer.com . I hope you do not mind but on one of my pages I have dulcimer related sites and I have your site listed?

Working hard to finish a chromatic dulcimer for Stephen Seifert. It's rosewood, ebony, and bear claw sitka spruce. Can't wait to hear it.
