This is the second dulcimer made by Richard, completed in May 2009. It has maple top, mahogany back and sides, padauk end block and peg box, and the fretboard is an unidentified hardwood with a intricate "scale" pattern in the grain - even the wood supplier we got it from was not sure what it was. This is tuned AEa, suits slow ballads and is great for a bit of bluesy sliding too.
