I am so new I haven’t even received my dulcimer, though it is on order. I have had an affinity for folk music my entire life and with my Celtic heritage, the dulcimer was a natural draw. Looking forward to my education and staring the dulcimer journey

Freezing cold below zero greetings from Vermont Ford and welcome to the site. With your proclivities, you're going to love playing the dulcimer. I highly suggest, if you love hymns as I suspect you do, that you first begin playing Noter/Drone style. You'll have more fun than a barrel of monkeys. I love playing hymns on dulcimer. Have fun here.

Hi Ford, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer.  It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.
