Many years ago, my father (who was in the wood business) supplied veneer to Judge Authur Dixon of Whitesburg, KY. When I was a little boy, Judge Dixon made a dulcimer for me, with my name and the date on a small piece of paper glued to the inside. I rarely play it, but I treasure it, and keep it on display in my mountain cabin.

But I have another Arthur Dixon dulcimer for which I want to find a good home. It’s dated January 24, 1964, and is number 85. It belonged to my father, who passed away several years ago. It has been dropped, so it needs repair. I don’t know what it’s worth, and I really don’t care. I just want someone to have it who will repair it and play it. Please contact me if you’re interested.
