Thanks Ken, great idea, I just sent an email to FolkCraft. I am in such a rural area, no luthiers close by.

I second John's recommendation. You could send it to Folkcraft in Michigan and they will do the repair for you. Fokcraft owns the FolkRoots line which might have been manufactured by Ruggs and Jackel. Howard Rugg continues to make dulcimers on his own. You can also look for a local luthier to help you out. I've done this repair for quite a few people over the years.

The problem is indeed fixable, if not by you, then by an instrument repair technician. 

I would recommend removing this bridge, and replacing it with a new bridge with the exact specifications of this one.

I bought this from a seller on EBay, there was damage that was not disclosed or noticed by the seller. Is this fixable? It won’t allow me tuning the first string so I can’t play unless I play 3 strings. Thanks in advance
