Thank you!! I contribute a dulcimer every year to three live auction fund raiser events: Habitat for Humanity, Rescue Mission, and the Pink Gala. Now I can add a nice case, mine just arrived today, to each contribution. I feel it is a great value!

See........the FRIENDS OF THE MOUNTAIN DULCIMER rides again.   This is very good and I'll surely order one for the dulcimers that I make for others.  Then they can choose that one or some kind that I make that is of Hawaiian prints and such.   The price is very very good.  aloha, irene

Looks like a great solution, especially for the price!

Great solution. I looked it up, it looks very nice and is shaped well for a dulcimer. Thanks for sharing.

Sounds like good solution, Phroedrick! Like Mr. Berger (my dad) always used to say, "If it works, keep it. If it don't work, give it to someone you don't like!".whistle

Finding a gig bag for my dulcimer was a frustrating adventure. I found soft, padded ones starting around $80 and going up from there. That was more than I wanted to spend, given this is my first dulcimer and not very expensive. It’s my “see if you want to play this thing,” instrument. Still, I want to protect it from scratching and such.

I decided to look at bags for the Fendet Strat and found one that works nicely. My dulcimer is 35 inches overall and, while the bag specs say its internal length is 34 inches, my instrument fits fine. The bag is a Tosnail Mini-Strat bag. Best news is it cost me $17.99. I recommend doing a search online to find businesses that sell it, if you’re looking for a low price bag.

I don’t think this is a bag for better, more expensive instruments, so when I buy a better dulcimer (soon), I will want a better bag or case. Until then, this is a good solution for me.

I post this as I’ve noticed questions about bags left by folks like me, looking for a less expensive bag alternative. I DO NOT sell these bags, have no relationship with anyone in the bag’s supply chain and receive no compensation for posting about this item.

I believe this post conforms to guidelines, and apologize in advance if I’m wrong.

Added a couple pictures for your convenience.
