I perform traditional music of the British Isles on violin, mandolin family instruments, mountain dulcimer, and guitar, specializing in tunes popular in colonial America. On the mountain dulcimer I play DAD, DGD, and sometimes DADA with four equal strings. I play with a flatpick and use capos extensively to play the complex Celtic tunes I play on fiddle and mandolins. My biggest influence is Leo Kretzner.
I have a detailed post on my blog at https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=8736497427303310765#editor/target=post;postID=1051172950269608429;onPublishedMenu=allposts;onClosedMenu=allposts;postNum=2;src=postname. If that doesn't work, see www.rampantmandolin.com.

"The dulcimer sings a sweet song."
Howdy and welcome to FOTMD!
Hi John, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.
