This is my rough recording of an 18th-century Scottish tune with melody on mountain dulcimer. I plan to re-record the harmony parts, whose rhythm is rugged.
John, I want to thank you again for sharing this tune. I dug out some sheet music and am learning it myself. It has some cool rhythms in there (triplets make me nuts!).
That's gorgeous. Thanks, great to hear the "Scottish snap" which I find challenging on the dulcimer.Technique aside,it's lovely.

Lovely tune and playing.
That's superb, John. The song really builds with plenty of emotion. Well done, sir!
Just lovely, John. Encore!
Nice work!
VERY good playing and recording, John! Beautiful!
Another great job, John! I love this old tune. It's also called "The Soldier's Return" (by Robert Burns). Thanks for doing this!
What a nice tune, John!
Sounds good, John!
