I was first introduced to the Mountain Dulcimer when my neighbors the Webbs taught my daughters to play Mountain Dulcimer at St. Anthony's Catholic School in Charleston, WV. A few years later I bought my first Mountain Dulcimer at a music store in Charleston. I attempted to learn to play it on my own for several years after moving to the metro Atlanta area I met Sam and Rhoda Greene. Sam taught beginner lessons and that is where things took off. I also joined the Peach Pickers a sattelite group of the North Georgia Foothills Dulcimer Association.
I have diligently pursued learning to play and learning how best to teach others to play as well for the past 11 years. I have been teaching beginner to intermediate level dulcimer lessons for the past 6 years.
I love getting together with other musicians to play old time, celtic, and other forms of folk music.
