Nigel Pennick plays his tune 'Whiskey Jack'. Whiskey Jack is a mythical, symbolic figure, a trickster, bringer of discord and joy. He is derived from the Native American Cree character Wisakedjak who was sent by the supreme being Gitchi Manitou who commanded him to teach animals and people to live in harmony. Using his charming powers, he brought discord, often in the appearance of doing good. Whiskey Jack represents the false prophets who have the human power to create friendship, harmony and joy but who also stoke up the fires of disagreement, bringing cruelty, conflict and destruction upon humanity.
