Thankyou Mary for your kind words on Beanmont. Indeed it is my own composition. My 1981 Scottish teardrop-style dulcimer has a particular resonance.

Mary,

I live about an hour north of Columbus and I build custom mountain dulcimers. I am a much better luthier than a player, so I want to be a real player.  I do belong to a small string group of mostly dulcimer players.  We just play in DAD and strum the melody together(no chords).  It is good for me to practice with them, but my goal is solo fingerpicking with chords, strumming and lots of cross picking.  It was only about a year ago that I started to chord and cross pick.  Suddenly realized that maybe I could sort of develop my own style - like you have done.

Mary, I seem to remember about the poetry and public domain effecting what you wanted to post. I hope you can find poems that will be ok so you can write your music, I sure enjoyed hearing your music, you are very creative.

Well, It isn't that I quit, at that time I was taking care of parents, my Mom was going through surgeries and my Father died and then I moved and I had to get on another med for RA and was pretty sick, just too much.

I will look forward to hearing what you come up with, I really like this site good bunch of folks and I think you do your music that shows your spirit.

Thanks Mary, love you......Lexie
