Scale length is 625mm and strings are D4 (0.010"), A3 (0.012"") and thumb string A4 (0.010"). It's very quiet (which saves my wife and neighbours from my poor efforts at playing) but I'm looking at installing a piezo pick up in the chocolate box under the bridge. I'm not much of a musician but it sounds to me more like dulcijos I've heard than a stick dulcimer.

Cool. How are you tuning this, Peter?
Thats interesting, how does it sound? More a strumstick or a Dulcijo ?
Here's a fun little instrument I made recently - a dulcijo using a cardboard chocolate box with zither pins for tuners.
