Peter,

 I am glad I can help you in any way I can. Sounds like your accident was a little worse than mine. I cut the index finger and middle finger with some tendon damage to the middle finger. Bone exposed on the index finger. Had to do a bit of sewing to cover it up. I'll find out more this coming Tuesday when I'll see the surgeon. 

I hope you can figure out a way to make music again. Keep the faith.
