I learned this French Cajun tune many years ago from a fellow named Jack Giger in southern Illinois. I think I originally heard it played and sung by Canray Fontenot in the early 1970's at the Frontier Folk Life Festival at the Gateway Arch. I hadn't played it in probably a decade, but stumbled upon a recording of it this morning by Dr. Bubba's OK Bayou Dance Band that brought it back to mind and into my fingers. I won't even try to pronounce the title or sing the French lyrics!
Hope you enjoy it.

I like this one Sean, nicely done. I love that you play it in both octaves.. nice touch.
(BTW, that's one of my www.harmonias.com t-shirts you're wearing! The guitar shirts are no longer sold- so yours is a collector's item! It looks handsome on you.)
Thanks! Love your t-shirts. I've had a few for several years. They go the distance!
Nice! And Dr. Bubba's OK Bayou Dance Band sounds like something to track down...

Beautiful and lively tune!
Super! Thanks.
@Dusty-Turtle. Thanks. I've seen it both ways, but I learned it as "Mes Parents...". Either works! 😉
That's an old Conray Fontenot tune, Sean, and you do right by it. You definitely got my feet moving! I've seen it referred to as "Tes parents . . . " meaning "your parents. . . " but I'm not sure what the original was.
