Description:

A song for a Tolkien-themed album I'm working on (slowly). Cymbals, a cheap bamboo flute/whistle, my cottonwood dulcimer, and a Yamaha PSR-200 keyboard acting like a shruti box. The flute melody came to me in a dream years ago as "The Trireme Song." I might add a drum, and I wonder if it could be a bit longer.

Thanks, all.  Sorry I haven't been on here a while.  I'll work on more.

Great arrangement, melody.I'm intrigued by the sounds that come out of different woods.. cottonwood?! Sounds good and interesting.

I think this would fit nicely in a Tolkien-themed album. It is very much like a journey through unknown lands. Beautifully done!

Wow, i really like this- incredibly creative and magical. Feels like being lost in an ancient forest.
You made great use of all those unusual instruments.

Very much an otherworldly feel.  Very cool.
