Young At Heart playing a retirement home in Florence, KY in January 2017. We've got a little work to do figuring how to keep from stepping on each other with the fiddle and harmonica.
Great job on this gospel song! You have a nice group there - all the instruments I like. I am a bluegrass fan.
What tuning did you need to use to play with the group?
Thanks Jim! Just straight DAd tuning, played in the key of G. I use the 1.5 fret for both the C and G7 chords. My dulcimer has a shorter than average scale length, so it is easy to play in that key. Full size instruments and average size hands = a problem reaching from the first to the fourth fret.
Really nice, Tom! This song was sung lots when I was a kid so I'm pretty sure it's one many in your audience have in their memory banks. (Even though my dad's cognitive abilities are low, he still remembers songs.)
Very nice!!
