Looks right at home there, having a nap on your bedspread, Will. A part of me alreadyreally misses theold Thomas but it is better off in ol' Kentucky where otherscan see and play it.
I am very fortunate to be the one currently looking after this old gem. I know it's not everyday that one gets to hold and play a Thomas dulcimer, so if anyone is traveling through the Lexington, KY area and wants to give it a strum feel free to send me a message! These old instruments are part of a history that belongs to all of us, and it is my intention to share them whenever possible.
William, that's a treasure ! A beautiful example of Uncle Ed's handiwork. I love how the fretboard's finish has rubbed off over time, revealing the poplar wood beneath.

That's great, William, and I may take you up on the strum next time I'm through Lexington.

I'm trying not to be jealous of you!
This beautiful and rare Thomas is now in your loving care... Congratulations, and long may it continue to journey unharmed!
