Welcome to the little white chapel in the hills : ) I wanted to write a piece that honors my Appalachian ancestors'/family's deep faith. I love the small chapels in the mountains, and I imagined the congregation singing as I wrote Hymn. This piece contains three tunes: tune number one is a traditional hymn (a doxology), tune number two is an upbeat gospel song, and number three is a heartfelt gospel song with a chorus section. Most of this is played in a sort of noter "style" with my finger, (rather than a noter stick) but I do also play chords. Every now and then a kitty appears, as usual - lol! I'm playing my Kurt Simerman mountain dulcimer run though my little Roland Cube amp.
