I love the sweet sound of this instrument and all the wonderful teachers! After many years of ill health and having to stop working early at 57, I'm feeling much better. I felt a very strong desire to play the dulcimer and also meet others. I discovered the Berkeley Dulcimer Gathering three days later (!) so I challenged myself to attend a full day of workshops and enjoyed it immensely. And then discovered FOTMD!  Everyone here is so warm and welcoming. I look forward to getting to know folks, learning more and maybe even joining a jam when that's possible again. I suspect there are online platforms even now being developed that will allow us to eventually hear everyone at the same time. Until then, I look forward to the time until we can all actually be in the same room again.
