Thank you for your comment on my Wren~I am SO HAPPY!!!! :D I started a thread on dulcimer homemade bags a while ago, and this definitely needs to be added to it! LOVE THIS!!!! ~it's awesome~
I have totally blanked on the owner's name, even though we hung out at the Festival. I am terrible at both names and faces. Was it Kathy? Hopefully, she will chime in and take ownership. She said it was easy to make, and just required one blue jean leg, some velcro, a belt for a strap, and some padding inside for protection.
I imagine a male dulcimer owner would be more likely to get the Mae West quote
I had a friend who told me years ago that he had made a dulcimer bag out of a jeans pants leg. He claimed people would ask him a variation of the old line made famous by Mae West in one of her movies- "Is that a dulcimer in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?" - I wasn't sure I believed him that people actually asked him that though. (sorry, couldn't resist!)
