Beautiful Ron Gibson dulcimer! What kind of wood was used for back and top? I am in the process
of ordering one and am looking for a sweet bright sound. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!
Hi Marcia, Sorry, I haven't looked at the site for a while and only just now saw your comment. The top is cherry and the back is walnut. This is my favorite dulcimer (but don't tell the others :) The cherry has slowly been getting a little darker and richer in color. I just put another Ron Gibson on layaway--a travel dulcimer in Juniper and walnut.

Thanks. It's even prettier than I thought it would be. Hopefully, this will put my Dulcimer Acquisition Disorder on hold for a while.
