I think I can get Ellen to sit so I can video her. The sound right now is very bright. The lacquer is still curing so we are hoping the sound will settle a little bit more. Also the more you play it the more the wood will tune itself. After that I will post a video of Ellen playing her new dulcimer which she named Jeanne for the Stephen Foster tune Jeannie with the Light Brown Hair as the dulcimer was born at Stephen Foster State Park.
Ellen, awesome dulcimer! Looks like you did a great job. How does it sound? I love the pink ribbon sound holes. I would love to attend a class like that some day.
Nice!!!!
Great job Ellen! What a fun looking dulcimer.
Beautiful workmanship Ellen! Love that body style and the grain. Is that body style called hourdrop?

The top is made of clear pine. The sides and bottom is made of cherry. The soundholes are floating pink ribbons and their is a cut out cross as well.
