Bonny at Morn - Northumbrian Minstrelsy (1882)

musician/member name: Music
Duration: 00:02:59
description:
(please see below for the description in English).

The version played here is that of the "Northumbrian Minstrelsy" (Bruce & Stokoe, 1882), published with the following commentary : "The song [...] gives us a pretty image of family life. The little one wakes up a little too early, but the big lad and the big lass are reluctant to get up; hence the exclamation 'Thou's ower lang in thy bed' in the middle of the chorus".
It was a popular song in the north of England and in Scotland. The title appears in Henry Robson's list of Northumbrian dance tunes and songs in 1800 and enters John Bell's manuscript collection in 1812.

This is a really nice arrangement, Dulcidom.  I particularly like the bass lines you've added.  Bien fait!

I tabbed this out a while ago for a student, but I did it with a capo at the first fret. Now I'm questioning whether that was the right approach.

Very beautifully played!  I am also curious as to how you set up for your video recordings to capture the various angles, as well as the software you use for your video production.  It is obvious you take great care in how you present your music.
