Thank you all for the nice comments.Smile.gif Marc, are you going to any festivals in my neck of the woods in the near future? It would be good to see you again.

Cheryl, I am using a pickup. The sounds you hear are from two tracks. One lead track where the basic melody is being played using some reverb and one bass track using an octave pedal to provide the deep background bass. I use the pickup to connect direct to the computer, so that eliminates background noise. I am recording this late at night, so the headphones are so I do not disturb the rest of the family.

This is beautiful George. I absolutely love this. Reminds me of when my sister took me to a Bach organ concert at a local church. Thanks for posting thisSmile.gif

Yes, I am having trouble identifying the actual sound of the instrument ? I do so like hearing and comparing the true nature of the rich diversity of sounds individual dulcimers offer !

HI George! I am wondering about your dulcimer...very interesting concept! For this recording are you using a pickup, microphone and is there any sound mixing? I'm trying to get a read on how your dulcimer sounds vs electronic stuff. Good job by the way!

Hi George! I enjoyed that. I also play this piece on Mountain Dulcimer, but I don't really hear it performed all that often on the instrument. Nice job. :)
