Hey is there anyone on here from the Holly Springs Mississippi (Marshell Co) that knows or knew a woman named Mary Dixon.
i found a dulcimer made by her in 1989. Just wondered if she is still around wanted a little history on it maybe.
Hi Dana, My thoughts and prayers are with you. I just came across "Dana's Beginner videos to learn simple songs in chord style". I truly enjoyed them and will have my dulcimer students watch them too. I love your relaxed and down to earth way. Wishing you all the best. John

Dana, sold you the Bird house Baritone several years ago. Are you interested in selling it back to me?
Thats so great that u are getting about again after such a tough time Dana and thanku for watching my videos.. and your kind words. Guess what?............I got your parcel today and Wow!!!!! Oh i love this painting..you have posted some very good ones on FOTMD but this was my favourite... i am gonna find a frame for it (and thank you for the hugs... many hugs back my friend). And the autographed photos will look wonderful on my wall. I am blown away by it all. You are such a sweetie for thinking of me, putting it all together and posting it all the way down here. The sticker is going on my hard dulcimer case. Like i said before, i am happy to give you some money for postage. You are a beautiful person young Dana xx helen
So happy it got to you in one piece! I know you asked for someone else's picture and I'm still trying to get one for you, till then I thought you might like these. Glad you liked the picture I painted. Thanks for letting me know it arrived and no I don't want anything for the postage.
Oooh, thats surprising and exciting. Let me know the shipping cost and i will send it back to you via Paypal.
Well Helen it's been a while and I've had a lot going on but your package finally got mailed last week! It was sent just regular post so it may take a bit to get to you. Sorry it took so long.
Dana, my condolences on the loss of your sister.
On top of that, you don't need the added pressure of dealing with cancer. Here's hoping you will have a speedy and complete recovery, and be back to your active life. Be well.
Paul
Hello to all my friends on FOTMD I have informed most of my friends on FB but I would like to tell my friends here also about what I'm going though right now. I lost my sister unexpectedly on the 10 th of this month she was only 52. Then on Monday I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer. Seems I have had it for a while but the good news is my cat scan showed it has only spread to one lympnode. I am putting my daddy in the nursing home on Monday temp. So I can get some rest before my surgery. At first they said chemo and radiation but after cat scan may not have to have it. Won't know for sure till consult with oncologist on the 6th and surgery. I have a wonderful support system in my dulcimer family. I'll still be checking in from time to time an keeping up I love watching everyone's videos and hope to post some more of my own soon. :)
Yo Dana, what's up girl? You still around these parts? Stopping by to say howdy
Hi Dana, please check yor INBOX for my message- thanks!
I think it would be nice to go to his shop and try various ones. I like the one he makes with the unusual shape.
Dana, thanks for the links to the Warren May dulcimers on e-bay. What woods are yours made of? I'm not sure it's in my budget to buy one right now, but that's a good place to check for them. I appreciate the info! Of course, if I get bored this spring or summer maybe I'll jump in my car and take a trip up to Berea to see them in person!
Hello Dana,
Thank you very much for your comment.

Thank You Dana for wearing my creations and showing them off, I`m still carving bone and doing one of a kind creations. As can be seen in this turtle bridge that I just finished.
Thank you Dana, I appreciate that very much. No rush, no pressure : )
I work with it a few minutes every day when I can. I will be dragging it to Lancaster Ohio next week for Stephen Seifert's 3 day intensive class. Hope that it helps me learn. Then off to Dulcimerville the first of June. Hopefully my back will stand up to the trips.
Thanks for the great videos Dana. I've been using your teaching videos of Old Joe Clark and Cripple Creek to help me get started with learning to play and they are easily the best aid I've found so far. I'm hoping that will be able to post some more teaching videos!
Dana, Have you seen this Homer Ledford on ED?

In your experience, is this a reasonable price???
You can PM me if that's better.
Thanks for your expertise!
