Thanks, everyone! Whenever I get the chance, I play with two friends who play claw hammer banjo and fiddle, and the dulcimer fits right in--we all stop to tune at the same time!
Excellent!--I am going to keep listening to this. Also, I have been looking for a big feather to make into a quill, but I am going to try a zip tie now!
Puttin' some major mileage on that bamboo Melissa!
Very skilled playing, my friend.
Hmmm... I'd like to see someone do that with their 'finger noter' for about 3 hours straight at a little bit faster pace, and not have their hard callus sliced right through. Been there, done that. Also, even the hardest calluses periodically shed off, leaving only a soft new callus underneath. Kinda like softshell crab. lol!
It is sooo good to see folk playing noter drone in that "Virginia" style of string whipping. As I said to Dave Rogersearlier, you need to find yourself a clawhammer banjo player. That style of dulcimer playing fits the banjo perfectly (the dulcimer takes the part of a fiddle)- and it is the style of playing that I use most at old time sessions.

I thought Dave Rogers was the only player who could get that sound I like but you have it f'sure Melissa. That's some great playing.....
Yep...that's a keeper! Nice job!

Whooie! Your ability with that noter is makin' me dizzy. I might better go nap for a bit. (Really enjoyed).
Great job, I going to have to break down and try this EAd Tuning sometime
