MIriam - we normally list the tuning from bass string to melody. Is it the outer, or inner bass string that is the octave d? DdAAdd or dDAAdd? And then, we seldom list each string of a multi-string course when the course is tuned to the same note. So you would just tell folks it's tuned DdAd.

Mike Clemmer makes beautiful dulcimers, and I love his fiddle shape instruments, I just wish he made that shape in a shallow/narrow configuration to give the high silvery olde tyme sound that I prefer. Mike - are you listening!
